Liar! Liar! - The Little Bird In the Woods By My House
Adult Improv: A story title is created based on a conversation with an audience member. The group then takes turns telling the story. Audience members are invited to shout out "Liar!" at any point, requiring the story teller to immediately alter their last statement.

Code Word - Babies Drinking at Bars
Adult Improv: After obtaining a scene suggestion from an audience members, the group create the scene. Before the scene, each actor is assigned a "code word." Whenever an actor's code word is uttered during the scene, that actor must immediately find a reason to exit the scene if they are currently in it, or to enter it if they are not.

Slide Show - Priest
Adult Improv: After obtaining a theme through audience discussion, one actor (Mark Jacobs) must create a presentation of some sort involving a slide show based on the theme. The other actors create the visual slides based on Mark's introduction, and then Mark must explain each slide.

Super Hero
Adult Improv: Prior to the show, Jason Brantman solicited names of supposed super-heroes from the audience. After obtaining a setting from the audience, one actor (Andy Lowry) begins a scene based in the setting, and quickly develops a problem. Other actors enter the scene one-by-one, discovering their super-hero identity upon entry and immediately setting about to help the hapless victim. Regrettably, each super-hero ultimately makes things worse, not bettter.

Herald - Unexpected (Get For)
Advanced Improv: The actors will perform a Herald, which is a long-form improv technique. In this clip, Jason Brantman performs the "get for," which means obtaining a theme for the performance by means of a short conversation with an audience member.

Herald - Unexpected (Round 1)
Advanced Improv: During Round 1 of the Herald, the actors form small groups and act out scenes that are in some way connected to the theme established by the get-for. The scenes and the characters in this round have no obvious connection to one another. They serve as a vehicle for experimenting with the theme and establishing some potential structures on which to build in later rounds.

Herald - Unexpected (Round 1 Palate Cleanser)
Advanced Improv: Between Round 1 and Round 2, the actors are asked by the director to come up with "Unexpected Birthday Presents Through the Years," a theme suggested by an element that emerged in one of the Round 1 stories.

Advanced Improv: In Round 2 of the Herald, some of the stories established in Round 1 are picked up and advanced, and some connections among the stories and their characters begin to emerge.

Advanced Improv: Between Round 2 and Round 3, the actors are asked to create song titles that rhyme with "did," and to enhance each title with some sort of interpretive dance.

Advanced Improv: In the final round of the Herald, the actors coalesce on a few of the story threads established in the prior rounds and bring each to a musical conclusion.

Herald - Unexpected (Fluid Sculpture)
Advanced Improv: The actors, having finished the Herald, conclude the performance with a Fluid Sculpture. One by one, the actors enter the stage and begin repeating a short phrase that was important to one of their characters in the Herald.
