Assassins was presented by BTC's Senior Ensemble in Spring, 2007. Performances were held at the Irvington Town Hall Theatre on March 30 and 31, and April 1. Stephen Sondheim wrote the music and lyrics. The book is by John Weidman.
The Secret Garden was presented by BTC's Combined Junior / Senior Ensemble in the Fall of 2005. Performances were held at Irvington Town Hall Theatre on November 18, 19, and 20. This show was performed by two separate casts, with different actors playing major roles. The "Daisy" cast performed at the Friday evening and Saturday matinée shows, while the "Iris" cast performed Saturday evening and Sunday matinée.
The opening night performance on November 18 was attended by none other than show composer Lucy Simon. Following the show, Ms. Simon led a very special "talk back" with the cast and audience, commenting on the evening's performance and answering numerous questions about her career and her craft.
Marsha Norman wrote the book and lyrics for The Secret Garden, and Lucy Simon wrote the music. The show is based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
Les Misérables (School Edition) was presented by BTC's Combined Junior / Senior Ensemble in the Fall of 2004. This was the first show directed by BTC's new co-Artistic Directors Jason Brantman and Fiona Santos. Performances were held at Irvington Town Hall Theatre on November 19, 20, and 21, 2004. Claude-Michel Shonberg wrote the music for Les Misérables. The book and lyrics are by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg and were adapted for English by Herbert Kretzmer. The show is based on the novel by Victor Hugo.
