About Session I
 Session I - Summer Mainstage Show
June 30 - August 2
Performances August 1 at 7:00pm and August 2 at 3pm & 7pm
M-F 10am-5pm, ages 9-18
Directed by Aaron Salazar
Session I is a five week rehearsal process for students who desire a pre-professional Musical Theatre Intensive which culminates in a full scale Broadway style musical.
Campers spend the first week getting to know each other as well having master classes in acting, singing, & dancing. By the end of the first week camper will audition and be cast in their roles. Over the next four weeks campers will rehearse, while still having master classes in performance techniques integrated into the rehearsal process. Each day has scheduled "snack breaks" as well as a relaxing lunch hour. Campers will work one on one with New York City professionals who will share their professional theatre experience with the campers to give them a summer theatre experience that they will not forget! The session reaches it's peak with a full scale production of the Ahrens/Flaherty island fantasy Once On This Island.
Performances of Once On This Island will take place the weekend of August 1-2.

 About Aaron
Aaron Salazar's talents were showcased last summer through his direction and choreography of Disney's High School Musical, as well as his choreography in the Fall of The Who's Tommy. Aaron also choreographed all three 2006-2007 BTC Ensemble productions, including Urinetown, Assassins, and Honk!, as well as the Spring 2006 Senior Ensemble production, Lucky Stiff.

The summer fun and learning don't end with Aaron's Once On This Island production. BTC favorite Heather LoSchiavo keeps things rolling with two sessions of two weeks each.
Each session will have its own theme and will proceed in its own unique direction according to the interests and experiences of the campers.

 About Sessions II and III
Session II - Young Actors Workshop
August 4-15
M-F 10am-5pm, ages 7-12
Directed by Heather LoSchiavo
For enthusiastic beginner & intermediate students, this session offers opportunities to work on movement skills through dance and learn basic singing skills applied to musical pieces. Improvisation & theatre games are all part of acting training. Campers perform in a showcase they have created & rehearsed in a fun supportive environment. Each production is unique, as Heather draws from the talents and experiences of the individual campers to create their own show. The end-of-workshop performance takes place on the final Friday afternoon of the session.
Session III - Teen Intensive
August 18-29
M-F 10-5pm, ages 12-17

For focused mature students looking to further their training as beginning professionals. Audition technique, scene study, vocal production, dance training, resume building, master classes with
visiting guest artists, Q & A with an industry
professional...& much much more....This program
culminates in an informal performance on the final
