Andrus On Hudson is a retirement community in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, built in 1953 by the Surdna Foundation, which was founded by John E. Andrus in 1917 to pursue philanthropic purposes. His youngest child, Helen Andrus Benedict, chair of the Foundation at the time, viewed the facility as completing her father's expressed wish that his legacy provide "opportunity for youth and rest for old age." It is therefore altogether fitting that this retirement community host groups such as BTC that create such valuable opportunities for our youth.

General driving directions are as follows:

1. Saw Mill Pkwy North or South: Get off at Executive Blvd exit (Yonkers). ;Proceed up the hill on Executive Blvd. and make right turn onto North Broadway. Travel for approximately 1/4 mile on Broadway (Route 9), staying on your left. Road will divide at a small intersection. Andrus entrance and sign are straight ahead.
2. Tappan Zee/Rockland County: Follow New York State Thruway (87 South) towards New York City and immediately exit at Saw Mill Pkwy South (exit 7A). Then see #1.
3. East Side Manhattan/Bronx/Queens: Take the Major Deegan Expressway (87 North) to Cross County Pkwy West and then the Saw Mill Pkwy North. Then see #1.
4. From Manhattan West Side: Take the West Side Highway North (Henry Hudson Pkwy North) to the Saw Mill Pkwy North. Then see #1.
5. From Bronx: Bronx River Pkwy North to Cross County Pkwy West and then to Saw Mill Pkwy North. Then see #1.
6. From Long Island: Cross the Triboro or Whitestone Bridge. Take the Hutchinson River Pkwy North to the Cross County Pkwy West and then the Saw Mill Pkwy North. Then see #1.
7. From Connecticut: Take Interstate 95 South toInterstate 287 West (Cross Westchester Expressway) and exit at Hutchinson River Pkwy South. Proceed on the Hutch to the Cross County Pkwy West and then Saw Mill Pkwy North. Then see #1.

   Merrit Pkwy to Hutchinson Pkwy South to Cross County Pkwy West and then to Saw Mill Pkwy North. Then see #1.
8. White Plains, Eastern Westchester: I-287 West (Cross County Expressway) to I-87 South. Take the first exit (7A) to Saw Mill Pkwy South. Then see #1.
9. From New Jersey: See #2 or take the George Washington Bridge to the Henry Hudson Pkway North to the Saw Mill Pkwy North. Then see #1.

•    Saw Mill River Parkway South to Exit 5, Yonkers Ave.
•    At the exit, turn right onto Yonkers Ave., which merges into Nepperhan Ave.
•    Take Nepperhan to the end, Buena Vista Ave.
•    Turn right onto Buena Vista Ave.
•    Turn right onto Hudson St.
•    Turn left into Buena Vista Garage

From the East:
•    Cross County Parkway West to Exit 2, Saw Mill River Parkway North.
•    Exit immediately at Exit 5, Yonkers Ave.
•    Turn right onto Yonkers Ave., which merges into Nepperhan Ave.
•    Take Nepperhan to the end, Buena Vista Ave.
•    Turn right onto Buena Vista Ave.
•    Turn right onto Hudson St.
•    Turn left into Buena Vista Garage.

From the South (From Manhattan):
•    Henry Hudson Parkway North, which becomes Saw Mill River Parkway North, to Exit 5, Yonkers Ave.
•    Turn right onto Yonkers Ave., which merges into Nepperhan Ave.
•    Take Nepperhan to the end, Buena Vista Ave.
•    Turn right onto Buena Vista Ave.
•    Turn right onto Hudson St.
•    Turn left into Buena Vista Garage
